Exclusive: Isa Mustafa thinks tochia thanks to VV Prime Minister, to become president himself

Isa Mustafa intends to forget all Vetevendosje attacks and Albin Kurti thanks to the prime minister's post. Behind this plan lies his personal goal of becoming president of Kosovo. The LDK comes in second. Persycope brings back the Backstage of the Mustafa Presidential Project.

Isa Mustafa is thinking of realising a personal plan that would enable him to return to high state positions.

Although he still faces health difficulties, he does not intend to give up his commitments.

Hit by Guillain-Barré syndrome in January 2018, a disease that attacks the peripheral nervous system and for people of full age rehabilitation is difficult, Mustafa continues to have limited physical activity.

But there seems to be no reason to stop it. For example, as a perfectly normal thing in politics, it seems that it serves German Parliament Speaker Wolfgang Schäuble, who exercises his post by being in a wheelchair.

Mustafa, as Periscop sources say, is considering his re-election at the head of the Democratic League of Kosovo, to then enter extraordinary elections with the idea of becoming president of Kosovo.

To achieve that goal, he is planning that Kosovo's prime minister's post be done thanks to Albin Kurti's Vetevendosje.

For an LDK-VVV coalition that would be linked after the elections, Isa Mustafa has given clear signs to a post yesterday in his Facebook profile.

“Kosovo, as never before, needs Government formed by current opposition parties, led by the LDK as the largest party in the country”, it has written.

The current LDK leader appears to have decided to forget all attacks on him by Vetevendosje, including tear gas, Moldovans, eggs, attacks on the car and his house, as well as the files handed down to him and the heavy qualifications such as Serbia's “Humani”.

He has also decided to put aside the hostile attitudes of Albin Kurti and VV in response to President Ibrahim Rugova, for whom, LDK deputy chairman Lutfi Haziri, had said the LDK could not forget and that they constitute an obstacle to government co-operation between these two parties.

In recent months, Isa Mustafa and Albin Kurti have held several meetings, in which they have talked about the overthrow of Haradinaj government.

The opposition has long talked about the establishment of a no-confidence motion, but has not yet secured the numbers needed to lead the country to extraordinary elections.

The negotiations between Isa Mustafa and Albin Kurti, say Periscope's safe sources, are stuck in a hot spot.

“Mustafa has proposed that the prime minister's post first meets the LDK, while when the president's mandate is completed, the rockn will happen: Mustafa becomes president, while Kurti is prime minister. But Kurti's request is that the post of prime minister meet the VV immediately, while when passing the president's mandate, the vote is given to Isa Mustafa for President”, a reliable source has said of Periscope.

Currently, according to this source, the node remains connected and negotiations are expected to continue to find a solution.

While a major battle is expected to take place for the LDK leader, while its internal electoral process has been overcome by tensions that have culminated even with beating and throwing chairs, this movement of Isa Mustafa, which is based on the Presidential Plan, is likely to lay off peace in the LDK.

The middle generation in the LDK appears to be reluctant to accept that further remains in the margin, while the new generation, at the helm with Vjosa Osman as the most ambitious, remains completely out of the game.

At least two central LDK figures, Lutfi Haziri and Agim Veliu, both with claims to run The LDK has come up against a coalition with Vetevendosje.

Haziri, even days ago, called the political subject of Albin Kurti “Red Movement”.

The red movement is left, because we know what the left parties have. Vetevendosje is the forum of Marxism-leninism that has emerged from PDK”, he said.

Haziri, also, when he spoke of the new LDK leader, has said he must come out of a preliminary agreement within the structures.

LDK officials, calling in different polls, have voiced confidence that this party will win the upcoming election, which is increasingly speculated that they will be held at the end of this year, or early next year.

But polls conducted during the past year have shown a continuing decline in LDK. So far it is said to have lost about 8 percent of its superiority. Currently, according to recent opinion measurements, the LDK's difference with the PDK is minimal.

Isa Mustafa's plan to grant the VV's post to the prime minister, meanwhile, seems to be making the LDK's electoral race more difficult.

“What it means to enter the elections handed down, because this is how the campaign will actually take place for Vetevendosje, not for LDK, and therefore a part of the LDK electorate can boycott us with the vote”, a senior LDK official for Periscope has said.

By putting ourselves first, with the idea of being elected president himself, Isa Mustafa is thus putting the LDK in second place, and such a thing could easily cause a serious party division.

Such major sacrifices, to win elections and to be donated the post of prime minister to take over the president, had occurred only in Ibrahim Rugova's time, and only for him, something that was understandable under those circumstances and had total compatibility within the LDK structures. /Persiscope/
