Deda: It is time for the opposition to be unified on a list that includes nonpolitical people

Kosovo Assembly MP Ilir Deda says that in the recently created situation following Ramush Haradinaj's resignation from the prime minister post, he does not see the possibility of a new parliamentary majority being established in the Assembly. Deda says Kosovo now needs only an opposition unification and union of democratic forces with people who are not at all in politics.
We are currently at the stage of Thaci's expected consultations, ahead of the Constitution. In case Mr. Thaci does not respect the already stated will of all political parties for elections in September, then the Assembly for the breakup could also be met for”, Deda said.
However, according to the now independent MP, the new parliamentary majority in the Assembly could only be created if the Special Court starts making invitations to high state profiles.
I don't see that there is any possibility that a new majority will be created in the Kosovo Assembly in this situation, unless we have the beginning of a high profile indictment by the Special, which doesn't seem to happen. So it's best to go to elections in September. It is the last moment that there is political maturity by democratic forces for taking responsibility for the radical governing, economic transformation, rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo and for the return of Kosovo's credibility to the international community, which Kosovo today does not have”, Deda for Koha.net said, adding that Kosovo needs to unify all the current opposition and individuals who are not yet in politics.
“This needs to be competed with a joint electoral list to win a clear mandate on the part of citizens on the part of the controversial changes in Kosovo. The precondition is building a programmeary governing cohesion among opposition parties because there are marked differences, and we cannot come to the polls on behalf of changing such differences between us. I have been participating in the elections since 2010 and since that time I have sought union of democratic forces. We have lost these 10 years in Kosovo due to the failure of democratic forces in this society, and we no longer have one day to lose”, Deda said further.
Deda, meanwhile, has been asked about his stand as an alternative co-founder, along with President Mimoza Kusari-Lila, and reports with him, but has said they are in touch.
The “has long been out of contact”, Dida responded briefly.
