But now things have changed dramatically and Kosovo teams are not only returning them, but are also transferring the best players of the Albanian championship to their ranks, writes Koha Ditore today. There are those who have played the Albanian National.
This course shift has come shortly after the admission of the Kosovo Football Federation to FIFA and U EFA, but also thanks to investments being made by Kosovo Superleague teams. And while teams in Kosovo are recovering, in Albania some are moving towards bankruptcy, such as Korca's Skenderbeu, for example, or even Vlora Flamurtar and Gjirokastra Warrior.
The last major reinforcement from Albania's Superece in Kosovo is renowned midfielder Gerhard Progni, who signed a year-long contract with Gjilan on Friday. Progny, who has made a career in Albania's best teams: Teuta, Partizani, Skenderbeu, Kukesi and Flamurtar, is the sixth reinforcement in Gjilan during this summer from the Albanian championship of eight players transferred this summer. Before him, Gjilan has also transferred Bedri Greca, Oltion Rape, Shkelzen Ruchin, Jackson Ferreiran and Erlis Fraser. And at the top of the team is the coach from Albania, Genistan Mezani, who earlier worked with Vlora Warrior Laci and Flamurtar.
