In an interview in Info Magazine, Rexhepi said it is unfortunate how much hatred Serbia still has against other peoples.
It is sad that this topic is still taboo in Serbia and that they do not want to accept. This is not just about Bosnia and Herzegovina, see the war in Kosovo or in Croatia”.
It has also commented on statements by Serbian politicians, who deglify genocide in Srebrenica.
“Transformation from a radical society to a democratic society, regardless of how they behave in their midst, remains a great hatred of other peoples”.
Such statements show that it is difficult for a people to accept what they have done and sometimes hide behind the shadow of what they have done”.
“Declarations such as chauvinist at this moment when Serbia targets the EU, are simply unacceptable and I am sorry that I have not been able to solidify with Bosnian MPs from Serbia” today.
Emilia Rexhepi also said the responsibility of genocide in Srebrenica falls on the Serbian regime and also on the international community that allowed that to happen.
The MP also said that the pain of mothers and family members is not to ease, but that it is important to talk about the event.
Something that happened 24 years ago cannot be forgotten so easily, no matter which territory it took place”.
We have implemented the march of peace, to show that a people cannot be wiped out because their name, nationality or religion is different”.
