We all know the importance of being hydrated, especially during high temperatures.
And now, when temperatures are high, you probably think it logical to give the baby some water to cool off.
Experts, however, have warned parents not to do so because even smaller amounts of water can penetrate fatality.
This is because small amounts of water can affect the balance of water on their small bodies.
Experts say that by providing just a little water for babies under six months, that amount can overload their kidneys and then lead to hyponatrem.
Water can cause inexoration as a result of non-balance in electrolytes such as saudium.
This then causes complications like brain swelling and in some cases leads to death.
Until babies are at least six months old, experts say you should give them only breast milk or milk formula.
