A spokesperson for the missile launcher told the French news agency AFP that the problems occurred two minutes after the launch from the Kourout police station at the French Foreign Department of Guyana in South America.
This is the first time the rocket has been fired and the company apologised for losing its load.
The Vega rocket was supposed to launch satellite surveillance Falconeye 1 for the needs of the United Arab Emirates. The satellite was produced by Airbus and Thales Alainia Space Space space company.
Satellite footage should be used for design, supervision of agricultural land, urban planning, and border and coast monitoring
