The letter was made public by President Wessel himself on Facebook.
I received a letter today from the former American Secretary of State, the great friend of Kosovo, Madeleine Albright, through which I once again confirm the support of the Kosovo people. Our country is proud of its permanent alliance with the United States and with friends around the world, always standing near”, Vessel wrote.
Here's Albright's letter:
Honored Speaker Wessel, it has been a pleasure to meet you during my trip to Kosovo. Thank you so much for your time with me and the beautiful handmade filigree. I expect to put that on. As you know, helping the people of Kosovo is the most proud success I have achieved as Secretary of State. It's remarkable to see how far this country has come and I expect its democracy to continue to be empowered. Also, I feel very proud to see such a strong partnership between Kosovo and NDI. We look forward to working with your team. I hope our roads will cross again when you're in Washington. Please let me know if I can do something in the future to help you. With the best wishes. Madeleine Albright.
