We proudly share good news with others! After a multi-year job, Ohrid's "%strupi" is finally complete on U's World Riches List NESTO's”, Culture Minister Elva Margariti said.
“Today, the World Heritage Committee, which is holding its 43rd session in Baku, Azerbaijan, approved expansion of property: “Natural and Cultural Heritage of the Ohrid region”. Albania's share now belongs to the world's entire heritage”, Margariti said.
Lake Ohrid, one of the world's oldest lakes, located in Southeast Europe, is considered one of the largest biodiversity reserves and at the same time one of the oldest human settlements on the continent.
The combination of obvious natural values, with the quality and diversity of cultural, material and spiritual heritage, makes this region truly unique. /Attish/
