Pristina, July 25, 2019 Investments of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development in rehabilitation and expansion of systems irrigation in municipalities is continuing to grow year-on-year. For implementation of the project, which includes building a pen and irrigation channel in the Yunik municipality, the MBPHR has signed memorandum of understanding with this municipality.
In this case, MBPZR Minister Dijana Zivic has indicated that these investments in building irrigation channels and expanding existing systems will continue in all Kosovo municipalities in order to include larger subwatered areas, and this, according to it, will be a priority for the ministry year-on-year.
“Waters contribute to increased productivity and stabilisation of plant production. The largest advantage of the irrigation system is to ensure high production and quality, regardless of climate conditions of the year, The MBPHR aims to continue investments in irrigation systems, “said Zivic.
On the other hand, Agron Kuci, chairman of the Yunik municipality, has thanked the minister for the continued support of the MBPHR in supporting the agriculture sector in this municipality. He has praised the project, saying such investments are necessary for agriculture development in this municipality.
