In PZAP, they say there are only two parties that have not paid off their debts, which, if they fail to fulfill their commitments, will not be able to participate in the elections whenever they are held.
Almost all political parties participating in early parliamentary and local elections, held in 2017, were condemned by the Electoral Panel for Ances and Parasetas, for disregarding the Electoral Law and violating the code of courtesy.
PZAP Secretariat chief Mule Descu told Radio Kosovo what the total value of sentences pronounced in the recent parliamentary elections was, and which parties were mostly fined for violations.
“PAN has been convicted mostly of 158 thousand euros. The LDK-AKR-Alternative coalition of 71 thousand and 700 euros. The Vetevendosje movement with 62 thousand and 600. The Serbian list of 35 thousand and 600 euros, and so on. A total of political subjects participating in the elections have been fined at 348 thousand and 900 euros”, he said.
According to Descu, all these fines have been paid. Meanwhile, PZAP, for various violations, had also fined the parties that participated in the 2017 local elections. Except for the two parties, even these fines have been paid, Mula Descu told Radio Kosova.
The mass of fines pronounced against political subjects is 257 thousand and 350 euros. Of all these fines have yet to go unpaid only 5900 euros, of which the alternative” has not paid 3700 euros and political subject “KTAP” 2000 euros”, Descu said.
The head of the Electoral Panel Secretariat for Ances and Paraseta, Mula Descu, said that with “Alternative” they have an agreement on paying the fine in installments, while the Turkish Justice Party has so far been interested in paying the sentence.
Descu is satisfied with paying fines from political parties, while showing that without paying the fines, no political party will be eligible for participation in the elections, which can be held after the outgoing prime minister's resignation, Ramush Haradinaj.
