In a media statement issued by Vuciqi's office, he has reportedly had a long and friendly conversation, indicating that Serbia is committed to dialogue, media-brokered by the EU, with the goal of ensuring stability in the region by finding a compromise, and a solution that will be acceptable to both sides, Danas writes.
He has also reportedly thanked Chancellor Merkel and President Macron for the initiative to support the process with meetings in Berlin and Paris.
As highlighted in his office's statement, he has asked Pristina to suspend the tax in exchange for Serbia's return to dialogue, also urging Merkel to have free trade.
In this telephone conversation with Merkel Vuciq, she has said Serbia is committed to peace and co-operation in the Western Balkans, thanking Merkel for the Berlin Process, which has contributed to the stability of the region.
His conversation comes after a forum yesterday in Bratislava, attended by President Hashim Thaci, who has crashed over the tax issue, the Association of the Brussels Agreement.
