US gives Ukraine military assistance worth $250m

This new aid package, which leads to $1.5 billion of US military assistance to Ukraine since 2014, will serve to particularly supply the Ukrainian army with weapons and radar, the Pentagon communique says.

This co-operation in the security plan has been made possible by Ukraine's continued advances in the area of adoption of institutional reforms, the key element in defence, with the objective of linking Ukraine with Euro-Atlantic principles”, the US Department of Defence stated.
