Twitter deletes thousands of Iran accounts

The social Twitter network has removed thousands of accounts linked to Iran, suspected of internet deinformation. Twitter reported that it had removed 479 accounts considered to be accompanied or supported by the government of President Hasan Rohan. Twitter reported that it had removed 479 accounts considered to be accompanied or supported by the government of President Hasan Rohan.
The social network added that it has eliminated even a small number of accounts associated with Russia, Venezuela and Catalonia.
The company said the sweeps are aimed at preventing election intervention.
