The Kosovo Lottary Union issued a media statement regarding the situation created in this public enterprise as a result of workers' discontent.
Following the ban on lucky games under the law adopted by the Assembly of Kosovo, Kosovo's Lottaria has suspended her activity.
According to this union, numerous meetings and paperwork have been submitted to relevant institutions since then, but no initiative has been taken to draft Kosovo's special Lottery law, as promised.
They have demanded that the initiative of this law be done as soon as possible, otherwise they will protest.
“From meetings conducted with all parliamentary groups they have expressed readiness to speed up the issue of law, but the initiative that must be taken over by the Government institutions of the Republic of Kosovo has not yet been undertaken. Kosovo Lottary workers are extremely concerned and indignant with the neglect of relevant institutions for what dissatisfaction they will express even through protests”, the statement said.
As public companies where the shareholder and owner is the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the workers of the Kosovo Lottaria demand the same to fulfill their obligations as its owner.
We appeal to the institutions of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to initiate Kosovo's special Law on Lottaria and not force us to follow other ways of realising our rights, but only through institutional ways as we have done so far”, the statement concludes.
