Russia's response: Kosovo is a source of conflict in Europe

It is not only a source of instability, but a potentially dangerous, uncontrolled territory in the center of Europe”, Zakharova has declared. “We hope that Pristina Patrons, who prefer to pursue their own interests, rather than the interests of Balkan countries and peoples, will use their influence to force Kosovo Albanian leaders to ponder. On the contrary, there may be irreversible consequences”.
On the morning of May 28th, Kosovo Police Special Unit took action in several regions of the country, including the northern part.
In this action, a policeman was wounded in Zubin Potok's municipality, while another suffered injuries from the same bullet but did not cross it.
In the action against organised crime and corruption and smuggling, 28 people -- police and customs officials, Albanians and Serbs -- were arrested, but citizens who organised barricades in Zubin Potok.
In addition, the Russian official was arrested UNMIK, for which police said it had obstructed police action by becoming part of the barricade and by offering local Serbs a motto, which it had pulled out of its official car, which was used to cut down trees which were later used for barricades.
