Aware that citizens are not yet sufficiently informed, reactions/protests are very understandable.
Today we were in Central Karaces and in Hodonoc to continue discussions on the Reformation.
In Downtown karate, the debate was useful to all participants. The arguments of each one are very valuable to us.
Unfortunately, in Hodonoc a small group of people prevented us from discussing with students' parents and village residents. I am saying it unfortunately because most participants were interested in open discussion and debate. Also, I'm very sorry that they had misused the children for noise and then to throw eggs at the car I was in. We're going to end up researching organisers who are able to misuse children for their interests.
Despite the unexplained objections of those few people not to start the meeting at all, with my insistence and other residents we went to school to discuss with them. Moved by the organizers, the students were very noisy, and the inability to hear what we were all about, we were forced to stop discussing.
Protests and other forms of disobedience are normal for us. But when they are used to stop the developmental prospect of children when they have no messages but only noise, opposition resembles conservative fear of progress. We will continue to be close to citizens, to listen to all the discussions, even if we are “jeopardised” by symbolic shares.
We will continue to discuss with each resident the idea of reform and its validity. I knew from the beginning that the Reformation could cost me, but I am convinced that students benefit from it. So I'm willing to pay any price.
