Pristina municipality does not allow the development of women's race and does not provide any clarifications about reason

On June 23rd ( Sunday) the Kosovo Federation of A Sport was scheduled to hold the auto slalom competition in women's competition. However, something like that will not happen, as the FASK has announced that the Pristina municipality has abolished the decision on allowing the race to be held. Communication for cancelling the race “Auto Slalom” for women 21.06. 2019 On behalf of the Kosovo Auto Sports Federation and the Eurogoma Racing Team club, we inform you that the “Auto Slalom” for the pre- women on June 23rd 2019 is cancelled following the abolition of the Pristina Commission's decision on permission, Periscopi broadcasts.

Neglecting the large number of racers (over 70) including many competitors from Macedonia and Montenegro, the unspoiled work of organisational staff, material spending, public face participation, including former President Jahjaga, the participation of all the media, Pristina municipality two days before the race abolishes the decision to permit without any argument.

We feel a moral and professional obligation for you to be informed about the entire event and finally to judge it for yourself:

INFORMA

According to the Kosovo Auto Sports Federation's calendar event (FASK), the women's “Auto Slalom” competition was meant to be held on June 23rd of this year.

Given the importance and weight of this race, The FASK starts months earlier with preparations and legal regulation of official issues such as permission from the municipality to exploit space.

This request was submitted to the Public Services Directorate in 23,04,2019 and the Sports Directorate in 1505,2019 in Pristina. The Pristina Community (Public Services Directorate) had also in advance shown neglect by avoiding communication, after frequent attempts on our part to seek answers about the request to institutions in question, which are legally obliged to announce the other side on any subject decision, which has not happened in our case, see the document below.

Months after the application and after attempts to contact the municipality, the Pristina municipality on the 1406.2019 date confirms the permit to hold the race, while two days before the race abolishs the decision.

It is the 19th year the Federation of Kosovo Sports hosts championships and events in the field of automobileism with the priority of education, awareness and safety of participants and the public, never organized something that endangers the lives of participants or the public present, in advance all security measures of participants and public, otherwise it could not be part of the world's largest family dealing with furniture and autosport issues such as FIA.

For the end, we apologize to all the participants, the invited media, former President Jahjaga, and all the other persons involved in the organisation, hoping for the awareness of the Kosovo municipality and Police (Centra Police Station) precisely official Shkelzen Xhafa, as the reason for the annulment of this event at the last few moments remains without any warning, since FASK is of all Kosovo citizens and aims to promote automobile values and tourism at the same time.
