Majlinda won the gold medal at the European Minks 2019 European Games on Saturday, the first in Kosovo's history, adding another gold to her magnificent collection, preserving Olympic, world and European gold medals.
Asked how her opponents feel when facing the Olympic champion, Kelmendi said the vote should always be added.
Of course the motive is great. But I forget I'm a world champion and an Olympic champion. I just want to think about new medals”, Kelmendi told public television.
She is grateful for the support she received in the finals for gold medals to Russian Natalia Kuzutina, who had the support of the neighbouring state of Belarus, where the games are being held.
You could see in the final what the atmosphere was, the entire public was with Kuzuatin. But neither have I been myself, I had supporters in the hall. If they said Russia, ours said Bravo Majlinda. The war has been very strong. I give 200 percent”, she added.
Asked what keeps her motivated, the 28-year-old said: “I'm never satisfied, I always want to win and news at the top, that's why I work so hard. ”
