100 authentic and very frank stories that feature the whole world of dailyness in Kosovo, from World War II to today, come to about 5,000 pages of transcripts of 100 interviews with 100 elders and older men over 80.
This accomplished project aims at collecting, recording, publishing and promoting oral stories of the elderly of Kosovo and forming a model and educational and training centre for creating a powerful co-operation in oral history among students, Library staff, young researchers and nongovernmental representatives.
The topics discussed in oral stories of the 100 elderly interviewed are the subject of life - organising, customs, village organization, including economic customs and even commercial relationships in and outside the country.
Oral stories of religion and tolerance, art and crafts, marriages, and women's rights in general have also been gathered.
Promoting ten volumes will take place in the library hall starting at 11:00 and is organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
