Kadri Wessel in 2016 had initiated the release of public property from usurpers

Kadri Wessel, shortly after being elected Mayor The PDK has launched party reforms and the battle against corruption and nepotism in Kosovo. He has removed from public office and has sponsored from party positions all PDK officials with charges linking them with suspicion of misuse of official positions, corruption or nepotism. Wessel has said he will set a new standard of ethics, and that will start by the PDK, to then continue throughout Kosovo.
But this is not the first time he has taken concrete action.
In 2016, Wessel had initiated a major share in the release of public property from usurpers, and his decision had made a big stir.
By then, in a large police action, over 200 confiscated properties had been released.
Speaking last night in Klan Kosova, Wessel has recalled this moment, saying that even then people had doubts about whether public property would be released from usurpers, but reality today shows that this had happened.
When I launched the initiative to remove usurpers from public property, who had been abusing public property in Kosovo for 16 years, there was doubt that we would leave. Those who were usurpers, you obeyed the force of the law, because they became convinced that the initiative was not selective, but was against all. The law is above all”, Vessel said.
Chief Parliamentary Kadri Veselini has confirmed that even now, when he has begun fighting corruption and nepotism, one may have doubts, but has added that there is no way but to act and citizens will see more concrete steps.
I'm determined to go all the way. I have my clear vision”, Vessel said.
In its ongoing anti-corruption and nepotism agenda, Chief Prime Minister Veselin has also launched an initiative to establish a Parliamentary Investigative Commission that will investigate allegations of fraud on veterans' lists.
