Haradinaj releases deputy minister convicted of misuse of official duty

Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj today has relieved Public Administration Deputy Minister Bujar Nerjova from office.

The release is made at Nerjowe's request with the aim of continuing the judicial process.

Haradinaj has already thanked the former minister for his work and contribution to the Ministry of Public Administration.

Nerjova, who had served as director of the Inspectorate in Prizren municipality, was sentenced to six months in prison on bail, after being convicted of misusing the official position by the Constitutional Court in Prizren.

It was then announced that the sentence on him would not be executed unless he committed another criminal offence within a year.
