Haradinaj: Croatia strategic partner in region

Kosovo Government Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has hosted a meeting of the Chief of Staff of Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, General Mirko Shudov, with whom they have talked about bilateral co-operation in the area of security of the two countries and the region.
Bilateral relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Croatia are active and friendly. Currently, Kosovo Security Force cadres are being educated at the Croatian Defence Academy and another number in defence training courses. This co-operation also aims to continue through joint exercises, visits and dialogue between the two countries' institutions, as well as the exchange of information for regional security issues.
Haradinaj has thanked Croatia's commitment to support and contribute to the institutional construction of military and security structures in Kosovo and has pledged an even greater commitment to the Kosovo Government to advance co-operation between the two countries.
General Mirko Shundov has thanked Prime Minister Haradinaj for his expectations and willingness to advance overall co-operation between the two countries.
Croatia is part of NATO and currently contributes to the Kosovo KFOR corps, as well as to the support mission for transforming the Kosovo Security Force.
Kosovo praises Croatia's role in the integration of the countries of the region into NATO structures, which will be a powerful factor in building lasting peace in the region.
