Some German politicians who have publicly expressed their support for refugees have received death threats since Chancellor Angela Merkel's politically motivated assassination.
An e-mail to politicians and media organisations in the country on Tuesday evening was threatened that the death of CDU politician Walter Lubcke was the first in the range of murders to occur.
They called for terrorist attacks on left-wing politicians, refugees and Jews in Germany.
The mayor of Kolnni and the mayor of the western town of Altenas, who were victims of knife attacks because of their pro-refuge positions, were mentioned on paper.
Henriette Recker of Coln had almost escaped death in 2015 when he was attacked by a knife by a right-wing extremist who said he wanted to send a government message on the refugee issue.
Andreas Holstein, the president of Altenas, was stabbed in the neck in 2017 by a loud man who had criticized asylum giving.
Both have confirmed the death threats this week.
The police spokesman did not comment on whether this was related to Ljubljana's death. /Periscope
