I believe that everywhere and especially in the region, there are leaders and I continue to say that we can solve the problems we have. The key is dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo when it ends. That means if there's no epilogue, then I'll go on this way. It is very important to support this dialogue”, he said.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has indicated that the isolation he is making Kosovo from the EU will lead to public and nationalist ideas being highlighted.
Asked about the nationalist topics that are taking hold in the region, President Thaci at the security forum, which has been held in Montenegro, said determined that as long as the EU is delayed, there may be ideas that are not in the Euro-Atlantic spirit.
The region has never been better, each is talking to each and communicating. The possibilities for closing open issues exist, but the EU itself must be better prepared to accept us faster. Let us not allow the Western Balkans to be viewed with hesitation. The closer we get to the EU all the problems we can get through... The longer the EU is delayed, there will be more population and more powerful nationalist ideas in all countries of the region. The wisdom of patience has helped us to overcome a poor situation between the two countries for demarcation. This isolation of Kosovo is looking like a discrimination. If you remain isolated, Kosovo will have more populist and nationalist ideas and spirit”, he said.
