Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Arberes Krasniqi, who has represented the Republic of Kosovo, has argued and opposed Serbia, demanding that something like that never happen again. “Metohija has ended in existence since 1998-99, thanks to the glorious war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, and of course thanks to our international friends Kosovo has been declared an independent and sovereign state on February 17th 2008. We as representatives of the Republic of Kosovo do not allow ourselves to use insulting terms against our state. That insult to the Republic of Kosovo is unacceptable and we will leave the meeting until Serbia finds out that this is how it cannot be continued, because these terms are contrary to the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo”, Deputy Minister Krasniqi said. Following this Kosovo side has released the meeting, in a sign of opposition, and among the CEFTA signatory states it has agreed further that Serbia no longer dares to use such terms, or cannot continue with the meeting. . After a Short Pause Kosovo has returned to the meeting, but that Serbia has boycotted by not being willing to return to the meeting. Also during the meeting, there has been debate on tax deployment, which Krasniqi has given her arguments, that Serbia and Bosnia are the only countries that are CEFTA signatories, and Kosovo goods cannot pass even transit. Krasniqi has even raised questions towards the Serbian side that for 20 years, Kosovo has been trapped in doing business in the state of Serbia. “More than 100 companies from Serbia have won public tender in the Republic of Kosovo, but no companies from Kosovo have even been able to compete in Serbia. Serbia and Bosnia also do not recognise Kosovo plates, nor do any other documents. And Kosovo has been forced to take concrete action, placing measures on the goods of these two states”, Krasniqi said. Finally Krasniqi has said that 100 per cent measures are not random, and such actions have forced Kosovo to take this measure
