According to him, the genocide of armed conflict in the Balkans does not occur, and that “Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council remains the only basis for political solution to the Kosovo issue”.
Speaking of Russian policy areas in the region, Cepurin says Russia retains and maintains a strong position in the Balkans, “but its presence is not directed against anyone and aims for common benefit from co-operation”.
