The news has been released by producer Bajrush Kajtazi, who has said they have opened the way and that the film has been supported by 80 thousand euros from Euroimages.
“Filmi “The Stork” with script and directed by Isa Qosja, is also supported by Eurimages by 80,000 euros.
This film is the first official co-production between Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania. This co-production was 1 of the 23 projects they won among the 65 applicants”, written among other things Cateazi.
“The Strok” brings actress Arta Dobroshi to the lead, while for the first time he will address the birthplace of director Montenegro.
Regarding this film and the importance of the location, director Qosja had said that this project changed from its past films.
“My mood is not just the place where I was born but the people, the events, and the desert that they have within their souls. It's the families divided into two: the elderly who live there and the young who have emigrated to America. So slowly and quietly do away with families, civilizations, villages. I'm convinced that this subject will communicate emotionally with many people who know and know the bitter taste of immigration”, Qosja said in a statement earlier.
The last film of Qreming, “Windows and a Varje” (2014), had a wide circulation at international festivals, where it has also been rewarded at numerous prices. It is behind some of Kosovo cinematography classics such as “Proka” (1985), “Heads of the Nebula” (1988) and “Kukumi” (2005).
The rest of the team includes Arben Bajraktaraj and Mirush Kabashi. Also, Qosja will co-operate again with Gökhan Tiryaki, internationally renowned and highly esteemed Turkish cinematographer Nuri Bilge Ceylan, winner of the Palme d'Or Prize, and <x2Ivy” from Tolga Karacelik.
The film was produced by 4 MM Productions and is supported by the Kosovo Cinematographic Centre.
