Bekim Jashari, Bahtiri and Tahiri letter Haradinaj for depoliticisation of the water pipeline board “Mitrovica”

In a letter signed by Bekim Jashari, Agim Bahtiri and Xhafer Tahiri, the head of the government is called to appoint a professional and non-political board, as the interests of the citizens of these municipalities are being damaged.

“Through this letter, we express our common concern, as well as our disagreement as the chairman of three municipalities regarding the appointment of the board of the Regional Water Company KRU “Mitrovica” sh.a, which is also being politicised by the CRR Regional Water Company “Mitrovica” s.

The polytisation of the KRU board “Mitrovica” sh.a, loses the professionalism of this company and damages the citizen of our municipalities because this board made it unable to provide quality water supply services to the citizens of Mitrovica, Skenderaj”, it is said in response.

This letter has required that the appointment of board members be canceled for the opening of a literal race.

Therefore, we ask the Government of Kosovo to annul the decision to appoint KRU board members “Mitrovica” s. and creating the opportunity for the board to be professional and not political. The annulment of this decision and the opening of a literal race, which would be part of it, would bring back the dignity of this company, and the hope that citizens can be supplied with drinking water 24 hours a day rather than suffer for drinking water as a basic straight for their lives”, the mayors point out.

If no measures are taken, they have warned that they will stop any co-operation with the KRU company “Mitrovica” due to the politicised board.

“On the contrary, we as chairman of the three municipalities that CRU “Mitrovica” cover with services, owe and interrupt any co-operation with this company that is guided by a politicised body”, the response concludes. /
