Albania among European countries producing pollution-free energy

Even though a non-member country of the European Union, Albania's position on the Adriatic coast has allowed it to take advantage of renewable energy, Euronews announced. For the first time since the Victorian era, Great Britain is supplying more electricity with zero environmental pollution than with energy produced by hydrocarbons. About 18% comes from nuclear energy, 24% from renewable sources such as wind, sun and hydro plants”, Euronews writes.
The list of countries leading and doing their best for renewable energy is Norway, which has been using hydropower plants since the 1800s.
Currently, 98% of its energy is produced from renewable sources.
Sweden is the only EU country where more than 50% of energy comes from renewable sources.
As far as Albania is concerned, almost 100% of the energy produced in Albania comes from hydrodric sources. But academics say the country uses only one-third of its potential for clean energy because its location near the coast provides the ideal position to harness wind energy and ward off dependence on imports.
But Denmark is the world power leader of wind. It is currently building a giant eolical energy park.
