After a year, under the agreement reached on August 25th 2015, between Pristina and Belgrade in Brussels, this bridge would have to be functional.
However, the reconstruction of the bridge has not completely completed as a process.
It was the mayor of the municipality, Agim Bahtiri, who repeatedly said the town would not be divided into two parts.
According to him, the reason why revitrisation is delayed is the Government of Kosovo.
Bahtiri says the Mitrovica municipality has called for the Government to intervene.
He says Serbs are exploiting this opportunity to take advantage of something in exchange for revitiation.
The long road towards revulsion has disappointed the residents of Mitrovica.
And more positively than residents, officials from the European Union Office in Kosovo say.
In a response to T7, they said all agreements, including the bridge, should be implemented.
The removal of the barricade, or so-called peace park from the Ibër Bridge, has preceded a series of meetings within the Kosovo dialogue ʹ Serbia.
