For a year, 22 thousand people leave Kosovo mostly from Gjilan

Annual statistical data on the population (mography) have shown that the balance of international migration in 2018 was 21 thousand 402.
According to an AKS report, in 2018 it was estimated that 8,967 people have changed their habitat (the municipality) and 6,762 people have migrated (including returnees) to Kosovo.
While the balance of international migration (Neto migration) in Kosovo for 2018 was 21,402.
The municipality that most fled from residents is Gjilani with 2,278 residents, then Fushe Kosova with 1,039 residents, Kamenica with 1,256 people, Rahoveci with 1,609 people, Peja with 1,168 inhabitants, Maliseva to 1,643 and so on.
In all, the balance of international migration of 38 municipalities was 21 thousand and 403 persons who were displaced abroad.
On the other hand, international immigration: according to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MPB), U n NHCR, IOM, data from several municipalities and the base date of Eurostat, the number of immigrants in Kosovo, during 2018, has been estimated to be 6,762. This number includes returnees, the number of Kosovo asylum seekers who have gained citizenship rights, those who have gained citizenship and are residents in Kosovo, and residence permits for the first time with more than a (1) year's stay in Kosovo.
According to these statistics, Kosovo's population had a natural growth of 18,562.
Kosovo's resident population, for January 01st,31 December 2018, was reduced to -2,840 or -0.16%.
The population in Kosovo for 2018 is estimated to be 1,795,666 resident residents.
The main reasons for migration are considered to be economic and social.
