Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has hosted the president of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), Derek Mitchel, at the meeting today.
President Thaci has thanked him for the support this organisation has given Kosovo in the last two decades in developing democracy.
Now when NDI made 20 years of presence in Kosovo, we are grateful for the support you have given in the process of democratisation, institution building, good governance, community representation and integration, and the empowerment of women”, he said.
The head of state has also thanked President Mitchel for the determining contribution he has made. The NDI in the women's weekly body, empowering her role in society and actively participating in decision-making.
On the other hand, National Democratic Institute President (NDI) Derek Mitchel has stressed that NDI will continue its support for Kosovo, with special support for the Kosovo Assembly and civil society.
President Thaci has thanked the NDI president for continuing support in developing and preserving democratic values in Kosovo.
