KFOR spokesman Vincenzo Grasso has stated that yesterday's action of the Kosovo police was fair and that the greatest threat is presented by politicians and the media.
In question of what the situation was like in Kosovo yesterday, Grasso has said he was under control.
There was a little tension in the day, but for good luck it stayed in isolated locations and ended up within the day so I can say it's quiet”, he said for the morning show in “TV Prva”.
Asked who the Kosovo police had obtained permission to conduct action in the north, Grasso has said what happened was the police operation conducted at the request by the Kosovo prosecution.
“Operation has been developed in several municipalities, including those in the north. As far as approvals are concerned, Kosovo police have full responsibility for implementing the right to rule of law. And when they're making it happen without additional permission”, he explained.
Serbian media have not liked KFOR's stance on the action yesterday in the north by Kosovo police calling it “untrustworthy”, the stance given by Grasso.
