The Ministry of Interior Affairs through a statement to the media has provided details about today's police operation in the country's northern municipalities.
The statement also speaks of the number of detainees, including Russian Mihajl Alexandrevic Krasnoschenkov, who allegedly placed UNMIK license plates in the barricade.
In the barricade in Zubin Potok, another Russian citizen has been arrested. Mihajl Alexandrevic Krasnoschenkov, who had placed UNMIK license-8x1> in the barricade, says in the statement.
Also, as a result of the operational plan implemented today in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has so far arrested 19 police officials suspected of criminal acts. Arrested police officials have been brought to the Kosovo Police Inspectorate building.

According to the MPB, the operation is based on the orders of the Constitutional Court in Pristina and is supervised by the Special Prosecutor. Kosovo's “Police during the operation have encountered armed resistance at the entrance of Zubin Potok, where armed groups were keeping the roads blocked through established barricades. These groups have attacked the police at gunpoint. Following appropriate actions, police have shut down the barricades and continued with the operation. During the departure of the barricades six citizens have suffered minor injuries”, the statement said.
Interior Affairs Minister Ekrem Mustafa has expressed the deepest gratitude and gratitude for all members of law enforcement agencies who participated in today's operations, as well as wants the quick recovery of injured members of the Kosovo Police.
