The contract on Road 6 and the construction of the Pristina- haniil highway project of Elez was linked on July 1, 2014, between MI and “Bechtel&Enka”. Just 18 days after the government's formation on September 27, 2017, Minister Pal Lekaj had signed the contract's extension agreement, but leaving commercial issues unadvanced, respectively, the cost of extending the deadline for 347 days.
And in November 2017, “Bechtel& Enka” from 14.78m euros, which was seeking damages caused by delays, had raised that amount to 63m euros. While on September 5, 2018, Minister Paul Lekaj and “Bechtel&Enka” had signed the third annex of 53m euros, changing the total value of the contract from 608.3430 euros to 661.448,430 euros.
