A media report said that the justice system should be free of policy influence at this table.
The Vetting Process is necessary as an instrument for reforming the justice system and fighting corruption at every level. That was the topic, which was clarified today at the “Vetting, step towards strengthening the judiciary in the fight against organised crime and corruption”, organised by the Social Democrat Party. This is one of the first steps to make it part of the Vetting debate, and has already been initiated in the Assembly the request for parliamentary debate”, said further in the statement.
During the table, Albanian MEP Pantina and civil society representatives discussed the importance of this process, but also potential difficulties during its development.
