Even this year, already under the leadership of talented director Walter Lucaj, Pristina Kino Kabaret, will have a special dynamic where, through association, discussions and realisation on the ground, for a full week, short films with spontaneous-created teams and participants from different parts of the world will be produced during the PriFest festival.
Kino Cabaret is a new and innovative mode of filmmaking, where artists, directors, producers and filmmakers -- from around the world, professional or amateur -- were given opportunities to produce the film in a more specific way.
PriFest and Pristina Kino Kabaret offer the possibility of implementing short films based on a spontaneousness and co-operation among applicants. However, these naturally flowing movies are provided without budget.
The Pristina Kino Cabaret programme has no competitive character, with no winners to be declared subsequently, but the films, which will be realised during the days of the 16-21 July festival, will be shown on the 20 July event for the numerous guests of the festival and the audience of the PriFest.
The application for Pristina Kino Kabaret will be open by 10 June. All interested can apply to the link attached http://prifest.org/application-ruptine-kino-cabaret/
PriFest encourages filmmakers, actors and students from Kosovo and around the world to apply and thus have the unique opportunity to be participants in the PriFest festival, which this year marks the 11th edition.
Kino Cabaret is a world-renowned form and a new way of making films in spontaneous where it first started in 1999 in Montreal by Christian Laurence. And today “Kino Cabaret” is organised at over 60 film festivals in the world. Pristina Kino Cabaret is the PriFest programme and was first organised in 2016, while it is part of the large Kino Cabaree network called Kino Network.
