Minister Tahiri: We will not allow the justice system to become a threat target

Through a statement to the media, Minister Tahiri requires that those responsible be brought to justice as soon as possible.

Minister Tahiri's full statement:

The Republic of Kosovo, its institutions and our society, are defined for rule of law as the inevitable initiative through which our collective and individual aspirations are fulfilled.

The threat that law enforcement agencies today took is an act that does not correspond either to our tradition or to our political culture or to our social investment in literal justice that is loyal to the truth.

Express my deep indignation with this act and with everyone behind it, who today has claimed to test the unspoiled will of institutions of the justice system to enforce the law in its order.

Today's attempt through threats is unacceptable and should be given the deserved answer.

We will in no way allow the system of justice and its guards to become the target of the threat of irresponsible persons, whoever they are.

I expect justice bodies to bring to account the author of this attempt to sow panic among our institutions, as well as to assure citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that law enforcement institutions would not stop doing their real work in each segment that the law has mandated.
