These statements were made to Haradinaj on the case of the inauguration of the Novoberda Cathedral, where he was asked about the current political developments taking place in Serbia.
He has also commented on Serbian President Alexander Vuciq's statement that after 3 July he will take measures against Kosovo.
It's good that in Kosovo we're working on a life, I'm calling it, in respect of each, mutually. Today we are in Novoberda, a multiethnic country, the Serbs live, Albanians live. And, we are interested in helping Kosovo with a co-existence, with mutual respect. We also want to respect ourselves with our neighbours, so even with Serbia, the time should come when we should be respected, as two neighbours. The past is painful, tragic, we don't forget, but we need to move forward, the other ones are rhetoric of day or day, and I wasn't a key today to”, he said.
For the session, which is being held in Serbia today, which is the main theme of Kosovo, Haradinaj said it is their internal affairs, but added that Serbia could be interested in a better life of Serbian citizens in Kosovo.
“The interest for Serbian citizens living in Kosovo is welcome, let Serbia also care, let it give support to better life. This does not prevent us from carrying out our obligations to our Kosovo Serb citizens, for a better life in Kosovo, he said.
The executive head has also said that more consultative meetings with state leaders are expected soon with Serbia's dialogue issue.
I believe that very soon more concrete meetings will occur. We had first consultation, mutual consultation. You know, right after we got back from Berlin, we met both with the president, and with the head speaker, there was Mr. Limaj, I've had meetings with Mr. Ahmeti, therefore, are regular, ongoing consultations, which we hold to”, the prime minister said.
Haradinaj has not commented on President Hashim Thaci's idea of joining Kosovo with Albania.
