The Commission for Human Rights today during holding their meeting to discuss pre-war injuries, outside the agenda, has filed a special request by a citizen.
Selman Krasniqi from Hyvalina demanded that wages for female gender increase by 10 per cent compared to men for the same job they do.
Citizens Krasniqi announced that there has been this demand to all Kosovo institutions earlier, but, according to him, he has encountered deaf ears.
My request and my idea is to raise female wages, 10 percent more than men do for the same job. Because the 2015-16 statistics give that women are paid 0-10 per cent less than men for the same work they do in Kosovo. My request was, the letter went to the president, it was addressed to you, Mrs. Medjid. Prime Minister, Prime Minister and Ombudsman. Where I could, I knocked every door. So far I have encountered in deaf ears”, Krasniqi said.
