With the meeting going towards the draw, great attention attracted an incident that took place in the second half.
Images of a fan have gone viral for the wrong reasons, as it seemed to kick a Sunderland player who showed class by getting up and not reacting.
However, the episode did not end here. Fans confronted Lee Cattermole and was criticised by Sky Sports commentator.
By “Sunderland Echo”, he eventually left the stadium and awaits the penalty for shameful conduct.
