Part of this road is the longest bridge in the Balkans, 5,7km long and 80m high.
This bridge also enables citizens to see the beauty of the Cabanic Grizzard and the Lepenc River to Han of Elez.
The picture of Kosova Prees has taken several photos of this highway.
The last 20 - mile [20 km] segment of this highway, attended by all leaders, even those in the region, has been inaugurated in Elez's Khan. Its opening took place by Paul Lekaj, Minister of Infrastructure, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Chief Prime Minister Kadri Veselini, Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovik, the one of northern Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, and North Macedonia's chief parliamentman Talat Xhaferi.
The whole highway is 67km, and construction works have been under way since 2014, where the completion of it has sometimes been delayed, while the project was conceived in 2010 at the time it led Transport Ministry Fatmir Limaj.
Kadri Wessel's adviser, Blerim Latifi, has proposed that the highway be called “Defer”.
The “Arba Xhaferi” highway has cost Kosovo's budget more than 700m euros.
While it is expected to bring great economic benefits to the entire region, Kosovo Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka shows why we should use it. He says that let's use it in the service of economic development and tourism and not for increased imports.
The government has recently decided to make an intervention on the “Zhaferi” highway. By the end of 2020, two more keys will be added to it in Ferizaj
