The Naplesns also had little to fight for, since they did not risk losing their second position until Juvenus was proclaimed champion weeks ago, writes Periscope.
However, the title race could have been much closer if Naples's attack had more luck in front of the gate.
Carlo Anceplott's boys hit the campaign 27 times, until they closed the 79-point edition, 11 less than “Old Lady”.
If some of these hits had ended up in the net, then surely the title war would have been the most interesting one in Serie A.
