Over 3.5m euros in investment in Prizren, Culture Ministry warns new investments

The projects in which the MKRS will invest are “Olympic Pristina, Prizren” 1m 350,000 euros for three years; “Construction of the Stadium in Zhur, Prizren<x3m> 1m euros for three years; “Thaci Progress Stadium, Prizren” 840 000 euros; “Fusha Sportsie in Upper Lubinje Prizren” 120 thousand euros; “The village stadium of Gjonaj ♫ Prizren” 100 thousand euros; “Sports Policy in Mushnikova { Prizren”, 60 thousand euros; “Building the Novo Selo Cultural Centre in Prizren” 50 thousand euros; “Construction of the Pausque Cultural Centre in Prizren” 50 thousand euros; “Building the Cultural Centre in Skorobic in Prizren” 50 thousand euros; and “Sports complex “11 Mars”, Prizren” 50,000 euros.

Minister Gashi said the projects under which the MKRS will invest are support under the ministry's policies and programme, and that he expects that after implementing the projects, extraordinary opportunities will be created for citizens, so that they can make it easier to carry out cultural and sports activities.

The minister explained that a small portion of the projects are continuation of past years, while most of the projects are new projects that MKRS will invest in Prizren.

The “is a total of 3.5m euros of projects that are focused on the sports part without counting the rest of the 3 million on cultural heritage. So, the ministry is focused on investments in the field of cultural heritage in the city of Prizren, since it is a city that includes much of the monuments and assets”, the minister said.

He has used this opportunity to seek greater commitment from the municipality to new projects.

“We have a joint project with UEFA, we also have 12 relief stadiums, and actually Prizren doesn't have a space that would ensure us to start building this project, so to have even a relief stadium in Prizren City, but we have agreed that the possibility for a relief stadium is in Gjonaj, since even there is an active club and we have a space, but at the moment it is still contested as property. Also, I announced that in a few days we will have the Boka relief stadium, MKRS investment”, the Minister Gashi explained further.

The minister warned that he would also visit the city stadium and the Olympic swimming pool, where works are being conducted to inspect them and negotiate with operators for the intensifying of the work, since the vehicles have been provided since last year.

I'm interested in ending the Thaci Stadium to make our clubs new opportunities for the use and development of games this year. Prizren has my added attention to advancing the infrastructure, and these memorandums will be good and new opportunities for sports lovers and people of culture. With these projects we are lying in Hasi's section, Lumbardhit and in all parts of Prizren”, the minister said.

While chairman Haskuka expressed thanks for the support of MKRS and Minister Gashi's in question projects.

Haskuka has said that from signed agreements, there are also those that started last year, but most are for new projects.

The minister has announced that President Haskuka the ministry has made a decision that in the town of Prizren, Congressman Eliot Engell's September was established.

So far, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has invested hundreds of thousands of euros in heritage projects for this year, with rehabilitation and restoration of objects on the “Marin Barletti” street in Prizren.

There's gonna be work on Marin Barleti Road soon. It is an already finalised project and we will start soon with the restoration of all the houses on the road, where 14 houses” are included in the first phase of the project, the minister Gashi announced.
