It has been three months since the Youth Palace passed under the competencies of the Pristina municipality, but neither did this fact make it the Palace of Youth out of crisis. Youth Palace task leader Ilir Dugolli told Online Economy that the situation in the Youth Palace will continue until the Pristina municipality delivers the means it has dedicated to paying off debts.
“In the Youth Palace, sports and cultural and economic activities are continuing, despite what youth palace workers are still facing with the lack of wages, they are still problematic, and it is not a solution because finishers are not releasing in this direction yet until the tools of the Pristina Municipal Assembly have been dedicated to removing debts from the Youth Palace. All of Pristina's municipal procedures have been taken, we're waiting for the issue to be defined as to how and how they're going to get their money and how their salaries will probably come up, it's a matter of days when we're hoping that this problem will definitely be solved as well”, he said.
Dugolli said workers often have unreasonable demands, not understanding administrative procedures.
“The demands of workers have been primarily on pay, but with workers as usual, disappointment and demand arise, and sometimes other unreasonable demands arise, not understanding administrative and regular procedures on how work works go. I don't believe this issue of blocking causes problems to businesses, because workers are informed by the management that we don't dare to have in any way the third side of why we face a lack of salaries, because they're not guilty of being created in the Palace of Youth, we offer services, except for those days that the strike has taken, yet understanding workers have come up with these”, he said in an interview for Online Economics.
According to Dugolli, the key to resolving the problem of the Youth Palace is temporarily creditors.
“There are four months they don't get salaries, but two months because in the time of the strike they've received a salary after many negotiations I've developed with creditors, creditors are the key to resolving the problem temporarily, until all the means come up for them, in this context workers have reached a consensus to stop the strike, since in the meantime it has run into the Comunal Framework that part to revote again because of some procedures that have been blocked, they have been jammed in the process and in this sense our workers have lost faith and had no fear of being voted, but when they've interrupted, Dukaz.
He says that to start implementing projects promised by the Pristina Community for the recovery of the Youth Palace, it must first become the bank account director of the Youth Palace and release the promised money to creditors.
The “with the Comun in Pristina, in fact co-operation with the board which has been created is very good, it is a board that understands situations, in other parts of development projects, we don't expect once to become the implementation of projects without becoming the deregulation of the Youth Palace bank account, as no one can develop the projects without becoming deregulation, first become deregulation and the money promised to lenders then come into consideration at the next phase of the project implementation that Ahmeti has predicted, with his municipal structures. It is expected these days to have the deadlock”, he said.
The December Youth Palace has passed under the leadership of Pristina's municipality, while creditors through bookgoers have blocked accounts until the company pays off debts.
