The Speaker of the Parliament, Kadri Wessel, has met Germany's ambassador to Pristina today, with which he discussed discussions and recommendations released by the Berlin Summit, held yesterday. Wessel, through a Facebook status, has said this summit was a step forward for the European perspective of the Balkans. He stressed that the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia should result in recognition.
“At a meeting with Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Christian Heldt, we estimated that the Berlin Summit was a step forward for the European perspective of the Balkans, and in particular for normalising reports between Kosovo and Serbia.
This summit showed that when it has a determination and seriousness, it can also have results and commend Chancellor Merkel and President Macro.
The United States and the European Union must build the approach strategy for reaching the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, resulting in mutual recognition and membership of Kosovo in the United Nations Organisation.
The Republic of Kosovo welcomes recommendations from this summit and will take its obligations on the basis of the will of its citizens, good neighbouring and its Euro-Atlantic orientation”, it has written.
