Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at a conference with Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev in Skopje said that bridges of co-operation should be built between two countries, not walls.
We are here to find solutions and look forward, look to the future. Let's remove the knots, build bridges instead of walls. Last night, the Pope declared that those who build walls are found themselves as prisoners on those walls, while those who are trying to destroy the walls are building bridges. However we learn from history, but we also create our history, this is the key vision for Europe and the Balkans” said Tsipras.
He assured once again that Greece will support northern Macedonia until full membership in NATO and the EU, stressing that implementation of the Agreement between the two countries is of vital importance.
The “behind me important for the two countries' future is the establishment of institutions that will have contacts and enable the implementation of the Prespa Agreement”, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras stressed.
In the journalists' question about what the strategy of the two prime ministers is to convince those who think differently about the Prespa Agreement, Tsipras said that, over time, following the many benefits that the two countries' citizens will have will be convinced that this agreement brings only good.
I think that with the very beginning of implementation of the agreement there will be mutual consensus between governments and between citizens. When we increase financial transactions, when we create new jobs, then everyone will understand the damage that has caused the problems of the last 30 years”
More than a hundred representatives of large and medium-sized companies interested in investments in the country are participating in the delegation accompanying Tspras during the visit to Skopje. In the afternoon, business Forum will be held, in which two prime ministers will again give speeches, reports Alsat M.
