A student has indicted Apple Company, demanding compensation of about $1 billion, claiming that its cameras unjustly arrested her.
Ousmane Bah, 18, said he was charged with stealing from Apple shops in four American states and was arrested at his home in New York last fall.
He believes Apple algorithms are wrong because they connected images of the thief to his name.
After being contacted by the BBC, the company said it does not use facial recognition technology at its stores.
Ousmane Bah claims he's nothing like a thief.
He even found that one of the charges was about stealing an Apple shop in Boston, a town he never visited.
His innocence was confirmed when the dates were revealed that the teenager was in New York when the theft was made.
