Scientists analyzed the data of a nationwide study, where more than 1100 adults have been asked about the stressful events they had experienced every day for eight days in a row.
Everything was involved here, from debates with others to problems at work, at home, or at school. Participants classified their emotional reactions to these stresses at that time and later. After 10 years, participants were asked about their state of health, and if they suffered from one of 26 chronic diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, autoimmune disorders, bone problems, and so on. Participants also showed how much their state of health affected their daily lives. Those who had maintained stress reported worse health conditions.
The results of this study suggest that keeping stress can be problematic to health. So learn how to cope with stress and how to quickly remove stressful events from your mind to prevent the development of these problems and to protect your health in the long run.
