But the deal to sign with De Jong in 2015 is another level. Amazingly, Amsterdam managed to transfer him from Willem II for only 1 euro, and lent some players as loans.
A 10% sales clause was also introduced into the four-year contract he signed, but in essence Ajaxi signed with him for just a pair of socks.
All of this is certainly extraordinary, as De Jong and his teammates were able to qualify the Dutch team in the semifinals of the Champions League after a long time. /Periscopi/
